PML-Q hints at seat adjustment with PML-N

MANSEHRA: The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) provincial President Syed Qasim Shah said here on Friday that his party could make seat adjustment with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in the coming general election in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Qasim Shah, who is also special advisor to the prime minister, said that his party was the one that struggled for Pakistan’s independence and was now making efforts to pull it out of crises. “We have no personal vendetta against any political party and its workers as our party is the mother of all parties and can make electoral seat adjustment even with the PML-N in the next polls,” he said.

In response to a question, Qasim Shah said that Kalabagh dam was in the interest of the country and the government should develop consensus on the issue.Qasim Shah, who has been in Mansehra district for the last one week in connection with preparations for the public meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on December 2, said that Pervaiz Elahi would announce mega development projects not only for Mansehra, but for the entire Hazara division.

He said the deputy prime minister would announce setting up an airport at a suitable place in the division and also inaugurate the passport office. He said the deputy premier would also announce the supply of natural gas to Balakot, which had been devastated in the October 8, 2005 earthquake.Qasim Shah said other issues being faced by the victims of the 2005 earthquake would also be taken up during the public meeting.
