Lower courts hearing 600 cases daily: LHC CJ

LAHORE: Lahore High Court Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial said on Friday the judiciary was doing its best for quick dispensation of justice.Speaking at a symposium organised by Punjab Judicial Academy (PJA) in collaboration with Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) on “Role and Jurisdiction of Courts under laws Governing Corporate Sector,” he said Punjab district judiciary was hearing about 600 cases every day to clear backlog besides routine cases.The event was aimed at capacity building of SECP officials and sharing of research on corporate laws with judiciary and legal fraternity.
