Four men gunned down

Karachi

Four people were gunned down in the city, police said on Friday.

Thirty-five-year-old Fahim Ahmed was shot in the wee hours of the day at the Blue Star Medical Store in Block 13-C of Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

The Aziz Bhatti police said Ahmed, a resident of Gulzar-e-Hijri, was present at the store where he worked when two men riding a motorcycle arrived there and opened fire on him.

He was rushed to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he expired.

Ahmed was shot twice in the head. The police found 9mm pistol bullet shells at the crime scene.

Police investigators told The News that Ahmed was a supporter of a religious group and the murder could be a target killing case.

Truck driver murdered

A truck driver was murdered in Janjaal Goth, Sohrab Goth.

Police said 38-year-old Abdul Maalik, a resident of Mansehra Colony, Quaidabad, had arrived in Janjaal Goth in his truck in the morning to deliver cement at a construction site. While he was there, two men riding a motorcycle shot him.

Maalik was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. He suffered two bullet wounds to the back.

Two killed in Baghdadi

Two men were shot in the Baghdadi area in the afternoon. They were taken to the Civil Hospital in a serious condition. They expired while they were being operated upon.

The victims suffered multiple bullet wounds. Police were unable to identify them by the time this report was filed.
