Former MNA from Layyah Sardar Ghulam Farid Khan Meerani called on PML-Q leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi at his residence here on Friday and announced joining the party.
Pervaiz said the PML-Q was the real representative of the people and it had undertaken unprecedented development projects during its tenure in South Punjab and the party had chalked out a comprehensive plan to bring the region in the mainstream of national development after the elections. He said the people of the South Punjab were still remembering the services rendered for their welfare and well-being during the PML-Q’s tenure and now they clearly saw the difference in the present regime and our tenure.
The PML-Q leader said the process of development which was going on during his tenure was not visible to the people of the South Punjab now because it had been stopped by the PML-N rulers out of their enmity for South Punjab.
Federal Minister Sardar Bahadur Khan Sehar said the PML-Q had served the people of the South Punjab in the real sense and the massed would also work for victory of the party in the next elections.
Ch Pervaiz greeted Sardar Ghulam Farid Khan Meerani and his colleagues on joining the party. Federal Minister for Defense Production Sardar Bahadur Khan Sehar, former MNA Malik Niaz Muhammad Jhakkar, Advisor to the Prime Minister Imtiaz Ahmad Warraich and other leaders were also present.
